Default Onkyo 606 and Secondary Audio

Hello everyone,

I need some help, I have read that it is better the keep "Secondary Audio" turned off and my receiver says it's Audio is TrueHD. If I turn it on my audio mode is Dolby D. Is there a way to correct this so if there is a Secondary Audio Track it plays, but I continue to get HD Sound???

Thanks in advance for any help!

Not with a BD60. When secondary audio is on, the player will always use a lossy track instead of the lossless one. If you want to hear secondary audio, you have to change the player setup and then change it back to get lossless again.

This is not a receiver issue. It's how the BD60 player works.

figured i would throw this question in here instead of starting a new thread.

i have an onkyo 708 and a panasonic dmp bd65....i set the blu-ray player to bitstream last night.

according to this op's question, i should also set the 2ndary audio to off correct??

that way, the recv'r will decode the lossless track??

thanks for any help guys, this is my 1st experience w/hd audio so i'm a total noob when it comes to this.

Yes. In order to bitstream lossless audio with that player, secondary audio must be turned off.
