I haven't seen any postings on this yet, so I was wondering if anybody spied a good price for Season 3 of Star Trek TOS?
Prices I'm seeing online are: Amazon.com: Futureshop.ca: $79.99 CDN BestBuy.ca: $87.99 CDN CHcanada.com: $95.96 CDN Amazon.ca (Star Trek: The Original Series - Season 3): $95.99 CDN Amazon.ca (Star Trek: Season 3): $84.99 CDN (???) In-store: Walmart: $87.83 HMV: $84.99 - $5 DVD trade-in = $79.99 Anybody sees it in person for less, let the class know, OK? OK. Last edited by HDmark; 01-11-2010 at 04:14 PM. |

I got my season 1 for around $55.00 but have been disappointed at the price of seasons 2 and 3. I plan on waiting for a price in the low to mid $50's, before I buy in.

I remember getting the first season for $40 + tax if I recall correctly. It was either that or $50, but not more than that. And I felt like I overpaid, to be honest, but I was too excited for the movie so I got it (I imagine that's what drove half the sales anyways, haha). I did get to watch the movie off the ticket money they included with the set though, so it wasn't such a bad deal.
![]() I would look into getting it used off someone if I were you. Anything more than $50 is way too much. |

I was looking at the Amazon.com price too, but $52.99 plus $7.98 shipping, plus currency conversion and import duty made the real price closer to $75. Still the best price, but not so great.
The cheapest I can see at the moment is Columbia House where it is $76.77. It also counts as a full price selection, meaning additional movies are $14.48. If it's your first order on the new site, there is supposed to be a 10 percent discount too. I may bite on that eventually, but I am expecting the price to fall soon. Maybe Wal-Mart? |

Yeah, the $8 shipping really stings... I was going to pick up a couple of cheaper titles to bring down the cost-per-disc, but with each disc the Import Fee goes up a little...
Too bad, since the Loonie is hovering around $0.97 US. |

Me too. I was looking at Sunshine Cleaning and The Man Who Fell to Earth. Then they upped the price on Star Trek.
