Arrow The Fourth Kind -- March 16th

The Fourth Kind Blu-ray

Quote:
1n 1972, a scale of measurement was established for alien encounters. When a UFO is sighted, it is called an encounter of the first kind. When evidence is collected, it is known as an encounter of the second kind. When contact is made with extraterrestrials, it is the third kind. The next level, abduction, is the fourth kind. This encounter has been the most difficult to document-until now. Set in modern-day Nome, Alaska, where-- mysteriously since the 1960s--a disproportionate number of the population has been reported missing every year. Despite multiple FBI investigations of the region, the truth has never been discovered. Here in this remote region, psychologist Dr. Abigail Tyler began videotaping sessions with traumatized patients and unwittingly discovered some of the most disturbing evidence of alien abduction ever documented.

I saw a Universal advance screening and it wasn't as bad as you may think. Its played out right, as well as its kinda compelling. Though there are some "suppose" real life footage that apparently did occur. But I don't easily fall for those, and I didn't. For me they were too manipulative and Hollywood tricked. I stick to my Paranormal Activity - Effective, Scary and Independent!

[Show spoiler] Through the very first opening shot of the film, Milla Jovovich talks directly onto the camera letting us know that she'll be playing/portraying the part of Dr. Abagail (the psychiatrist-which truly looks like a mysterious certified UFO ). Basically the whole film is played out step by step by phenomenons that were recorded in the interviewing sessions.

I'd get it on Blu once it hits its $15 mark or below that.

I love UFO stuff, and I didn't care much for this movie. There are definitely some good parts to it, don't get me wrong, and some good ideas brought up, but, to me, the way the movie was done, as well as some stuff that comes out about Milla Jovavich's character through the course of the movie, kills any "credibility" (in terms of the movie's world, not so much "is it a true story" credibility) she had in my eyes. That took me way out of it and left me unhappy, where had they just ended it a bit differently, I'd have been entirely happy with the movie.

This will be a blind buy for me. Looked very interesting.
Hopefully it's better than my blind buy of Halloween II (2009) today but it would really have to be something truly horrific to be worse than that.

No special features, no sale.

Amazing how they skimped out on this, especially since it was based on true events, they could have easily gotten footage of that, as it was used even in the trailer!

I enjoyed this movie as well, but it does have many flaws. Still i think ill buy. But ummm... we do all understand that this was not taken from actual events right? That was just the gimmick it used (unfortunately). Like blair witch.

I wanted to see this in theaters. I'll blind buy it. I'm into alien stuff so HOPEFULLY this will be good. Would rather have Communion though.

So this is coming on March 16th correct? Not the 9th.
