Default Replacing Tweeters on Pioneer S-T300 Speakers

I recently bought a pair of Pioneer S-T300 speakers from a local Pawn Shop fully knowing that the tweeters were not working in them. I was just wondering what ohm those tweeters were so I could replace them or if taking them somewhere to repair the tweeters would be a better choice? I have already searched the Internet for any information I could find on these speakers and could not find much information. Any help is appreciated.

Try searching Parts-express.com for your tweeter needs. Might need more info on dimensions and whatnot to accurately replace them yourself.

I looked there but don't know what impedance the tweeter is and I dont want to put the wrong impedance tweeter in there. The speakers are 6 ohm but the woofers in it are 8 ohm and the tweeter does not say what ohms it is.

You only have a few options here.
1. Contact Pioneer and ask them.
2. Measure the resistance with a DC Multimeter and see what that says. It the meter reads above 5 ohms, then you most likely have a 8 ohm driver. Below 4 ohms will most likely be a 4 ohm driver. Of course you cannot accurately measure impedance with a multi meter, but from what I understand the Multimeter reading of a single driver will be within about 20% of it's nominal rating. Note that I have not tested this myself but have read it on the interweb a few times so it has to be 100% true. I make no guarantee of the accuracy of the test.
Read the sticky on Impedance too.

Just throwing in a driver with the right impedance rating will not guarantee good results. Crossovers are designed around a certain driver combination and one type of driver does not interchange with another. Price is also irrelevant.

Lastly do you know for sure that the driver itself is blown? Is the wiring good to the driver? The crossovers could also have some fried caps or resistors.
Good Luck...

It definitely the driver because I hooked up another tweeter to it and it worked fine.
