Default PS3 suddenly won't work

My ps3 was working fine until I took the HDMI cables out to try them in something else. I put the cable back in and it won't work.

I've tried different HDMI cables. Even tried a different ps3. No matter what the PS3 won't show up on the TV's device list. The HDMI channel just shows black. When I tried our Magnavox blu-ray player it went back and forth from black to green screens.

I'm lost.

It looks like your HDMI connection on your TV went out...Your best bet is to call customer service for your TV and see if their tech's can help you through this...G-luck...

Isolate where the failure is occurring. Check each component separately, the PS3, the HDMI cable, and the HDMI slot. Static electricity might have fried a HDMI port, so switch ports on the tv.

So we ended up bring it to the store and exchanging it for a different TV. At least it's over with now.
