Default Is the Sharp AQUOS 52" LED worth buying?

my Sony Bravia 42" LCD I bought back in early 2005 already has the pixels dying which is like finding a needle in a haystack for the Bravia models from a few years back... Ironically, the company that Boscov's uses for protection agreements won't allow me to renew as they don't cover this TV anymore...

long story short....I'm in the market for a new set and Sears has the Sharp 52" LED for $1699.99 which is the cheapest I've seen it offline - I am putting a TV on lay-a-way, so I want to lock this in at this price before I have the money to officially pay it off.

The question is - should I choose another TV for my money other than those flat Samsung LED's or should I wait a few months and get a new set as I can deal with the pixels dying for a few more months if it means I can get a much better model out of it...

your thoughts?

This is an excellent set. Chad B over on avsforum reviewed the set recently and he spoke very highly of it. You can read his review HERE. I have actually seen this set by the way and I was instantly impressed with what I saw. It has a very sharp picture and very deep blacks. Colors were pretty good too.
