Default Power surge protector

Running a 42" Panasonic and a Dish HD reciever, with a Blu-ray player in the future. Can I spend less than $100 and get a good power surge protector? I'm not gonna go overboard and spend $300 on one of those really nice Panamax conditioners... it's just for my parents. And how high of a joules rating should I look for in a protector. Thanks in advance.

Yes,

silver: http://www.vanns.com/shop/servlet/it...3241548/apc-c5

The higher the better. For $100, 3000 joules is excellent. The APC in the above link has 3060 joules for $70( black ), $50( silver ).

Here's another good option for $80. I used to have one of these. I replaced it because I now need more than 8 outlets. It's rated for 3245 joules.
