Default Is this forum moderated?

At the bottom of this particular forum's page it lists JasonR, Big Daddy, crackinhedz, gearyt, Brain Sturgeon, prerich, Beta Man as being the moderators for the New Display Technologies forum.

I am trying to figure out how threads such as:

HD Internet TV? this is a content question
3D, PS3, Receivers, New HDTVs --- Question! this isn't specific to display technology
HELP!!!! Looking for 3-D TV!!! this is a shopper looking to shop
HDTV buying advice same as above
I want a larger screen, but what to buy? same as above
I love laser TV this is an opinion of what someone likes
Samsung Creates Worlds thinnest LED TV does thin make the picture better?
Lg Lcd-led is the backlight for LCD flat panels new?
1080p/30 Wireless HDMI for $869.125 this is video transmission, not display

Ok, I know I must have mis-interpreted the nature of this forum (NEW display technologies), but these seem more than just a little off base.

BTW, I liked seeing folks posting about there future (and hopefully mass market and not just boutique) display technologies.

They are human as well. They have they're own personal life to focus on first. I wouldn't sweat it.

The way i see it, there are some forums ive been in, and love the fact that this place has a fair amount of moderators, dedicated to each particular section, and can accomodate a lot of challenges not necessarily seen on the top level.

Ive also seen forums werent as flexible enough to accomodate new members and/or certain details, 'controlling' members to a certain point. Im sure some postings are placed in incorrect areas, but they at least leave tags showing 'where' that posting went.

So, stick around, and you may find yourself enjoying our little abode here. with your help and assistance, we can try our best not only as colleagues, but as people, to inform our moderators efficiently through Private Messages, and they will attend to your inquiry as soon as possible.

God knows how many spammers are on board here.

I cant see any of em.

Thanks to the mods.

The truth is(and this is no way meant as a slight) big forums like this can never have enough staff. That said, I think the staff here generally does a good job of finding a balance between policing the forums and contributing to its topics/news.

OP, your concern is understandable, but keep in mind how much work the moderating team puts in that you DON'T see! There are going to be issues every now and then, and as Crackin said, moderators can't be everywhere at once...if you spot something you feel needs extra "attention," report the post and a moderator will check it out and decide if any action is required. A lot of the staff's job is behind the scenes which we therefore do not see...don't worry too much

Please use the "report" function that appears as an "!" in a red/white triangle below each user's profile to report the original post in threads you feel should be moved.

I'm extremely guilty of making my presence in the New Display/Technology forum very limited due to my limited knowledge in that area..... I try to moderate Blu-ray movies/releases, speakers, HT, Audio Theory, etc..... But New Technology regarding displays, and off-topic/newbie which I also moderate get less of my attention..... Also, the PS3 forum gets very limited attention from me because A) I don't know anything about PS3 games, and B) We have a couple/few moderators who do a fantastic job in that area.

Again, just use the report function, and as a team, we'll do our best to keep the forums browsing-friendly.

Thanks,

BM AKA the "Dookie"

I guess you could say that with 2 moderators making an appearance in a thread with 10 posts (including this one), that this site is well moderated.

I'd say that this forum is well watched, especially considering the number of members and the exponential increase in people enjoying blu every day.

And I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the moderators for this forum. My bank account thinks otherwise!!

Half a mod is better than no part mod.

I blame my troublemaking early few months on this forum. I would say age had something to do with it, but they made Aaron a moderator...so...hmm. I need lobbyists.
