Using plasmas as monitors too

Apart from my desire to obtain a Samsung PN50B550 in the next few months, I was considering consolidating my entertainment areas by eliminating my computer desk. I'm thinking of using the plasma as both a television and computer monitor.

I've noticed recent talks about image retention and was wondering if any one here also used their plasmas as computer monitors too?

If so, how long do you remain on the computer and do you notice any retention from the static OS toolbars? Do you have any special setting on your computer or plasma to keep IR at a minimum?
