![]() ![]() Looks like a nice release of this critically acclaimed clay-animated feature. Amazon.fr have this one on pre-order for a february 9th release. http://www.amazon.fr/Mary-Max-Blu-ray-Toni-Collette/dp/B002XVZ23Y/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1263888571&sr=8-2 ![]() |

Gaumont did a great job again, it's a fantastic disc! The pq is stunning, the sound is a bit silent, but still great. It came in a beautiful digipack (with variable cover), and the best part is that the french subs are removable.
Definitely worth importing. ![]() |

Regionness? (Typical Gaumont ABC, or something less friendly?)

Just got it in the mail. I can confirm it plays flawlessly on my region A player. Have only been able to check the main feature briefly but it looks absolutely stellar.
It comes in a slipcover that has a center cutout revealing the digipack cover underneath. Depending on how you insert the digipak, you can have the cover showing either Mary or Max (see the photos above). Oh, and the title and the oval frame are engraved. I'm usually insensitive to packaging, but this really impressed me. ![]() The special features are mostly in 50Hz. Last edited by Grubert; 02-19-2010 at 06:47 AM. |

Does this french release include the animated short "Harvie Krumpet", and if yes is it in SD or HD?
I have just ordered this from Amazon France. Recently watched it (on dvd) for the first time and really enjoyed it. There's still no UK Blu-ray release and although HMV's site has a placeholder for it apparently thats been up quite a while. The US release is region-locked but have read good things about this french release so went ahead and ordered it. Looking forward to seeing it again, this time in HD ![]() |
