Extremely tough call between St. Anger and Reload for me....

Seriously, though, I've restled with this question for years, and have a real problem picking only one. It's always been between Justice and Master, but Lightning is right behind them. I guess if I had to choose, it would be Master of Puppets.

Master Of Puppets. I was introduced to Metallica with this one, and I went out that weekend and bought Ride The Lightening and Kill 'Em All. And the rest is history. My absolute favorite though is a semi-bootleg of their Woodstock 94 performance.

Master of Puppets. A timeless classic to me. Metallica have sold out many times over since then but I'll always love this one.

They went down hill after Justice. That album has some good songs but I can't stand the sound quality. No reverb on the guitars and you can't even hear the bass. Drums sound flat too. I like the live versions of those songs much more.

I did like Death Magnetic. Some good songs. Too bad the CD sounds terrible.

man...I feel old.
I saw Metallica in the LA club scene when Cliff was still alive.
Kill em all was there current album and they had just finished..ride the lighning.
Amazing high energy club concerts.
I like Kill'em all and ride the lightning cause they were HARDCORE rough Metal Band......they seem to mellow out a bit after Cliff died.
