I just purchased the recent Encore CS3 authoring program and was upset to find out that it offers no mastering option at all for Blu-ray. It will only output to DLT for SD DVD's. I called Adobe to confirm this problem and they didn't even know themselves until I read it from their own manual. I understand that most people don't have a use for this feature, but for professionals who want to go to a replication facilities this is a huge set back. The main reason I was interested in Encore was because it could do H264.
I will probably switch back to using DVD Pro it 6 HD, since that can do a CMF output to DLT. The only output options for Encore cs3 is a image or disc output. I'm curious though if anyone knows of a way to create a DLT from a image file? |
