How to get rid of a hangover - Blu-ray Forum

Since most of yall will need this tomorrow:

Best ever hangover cure:

As soon as you get up, drink 2 full tall glasses of water with some Advil.

Go to the nearest McDonalds and order either 2 double cheeseburgers or 2 spicy chickens with a medium sized fry and a medium drink, which must be either a Dr. Pepper or a Coke.

Take a shower with the water set for the highest temperature you can stand. Let the water just run over your face.

At some point, evacuate your bowels...

Take a nap.

Wait about 8-12 hours.

And I gaurantee you hangover will be gone!

Just thinking the water pressure might not be enough to flush it away, im rural you see, and use a pump.

LOTS of water.

Drinking is only temporary fix and they recommend bloody marys because they have tomato juice.

Orange juice, Gatorade.

Or my friend's favorite one from college: smoke weed, get some greasy food (like a burger) and a milkshake.

Water water water water.

Hangovers are caused by dehydration.

The best way to prevent them is to drink two big glasses of water before you sleep while you are still drunk.

Yup if I'm coherent enough I make sure to grab at least one glass of water before bed, and some bread too either if I'm staying up or first thing in the morning. This is my first New Years in quite a few years where I'm not in bed rocking a major hangover.

Usually though to avoid taking medication...

- Water before bed or as frequently as possible
- Shower
- Bread or other fibery food
- Big meal
- Rest
- Time

Some combo of those does the trick without having to take meds.

I just woke up and it's 12:15pm EST. I went to bed at 4am. I had a few drinks, and I have slight hangover. Usually I just eat and take Advil and I'm good to go.

The best method out there is Oxygen and IV fluids, but I haven't had to do this in years.

It's too bad not everyone has ready access to this kind of treatment. It's good to be in the fire/EMS business sometimes.
