Default Twilight Zone in 2010...?

I thought I had read here in the forums awhile back that the the original Twilight Zone tv series was coming to Blu in 2010. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

The main concern is the financial stability of Image Entertainment.

If they do put this out (and I sure hope they do), I'd love to see it all at once -- not some season-by-season slow release. Because I'm not going to trust that they'll get them all out.

If they released stuff like this that people want, perhaps their financial situation would be better.

I've only seen a few episodes from the original Twilight Zone series, but I absolutely loved the ones I watched. Would definitely consider purchasing this if it was released in Blu-Ray, although I cringe to think what the price for a complete series set would be, if you compare it with the DVD box set price.

If I recall the original price of the DVD sets when they came out were not exactly very cheap. My friend bought them and they were quite high but that was 5 or 6 years ago so I can't recall the exact prices.

Yeah...I'll be buying this but I have a feeling they will be expensive like the original Star Trek TV series.

I tought they had drop more then that. I actualy have not seen them in stores for sometime. I remember that he was happy having them, he love's the show but he was shock at the prices. I asked him if he would upgrade but it look's like he won't do it, he will keep the DVD set. I am willing to bet once he see a review of them and how they look on BD he will bite

Got a good deal on the complete DVD set (28 discs) back in March, under 100 bucks. Been thru 2.5 of them, a slow (but sure) ride. They look really good. Can't imagine making a double dip.

(A few of the discs are a little on the scratched up side, so fingers crossed on that.)

They released them in several different flavors. When they started, they were random episodes in "volumes" (over 40 of them) released over the course of several years. For this TZ fan, it was the most painfully slow water torture of a DVD release ever.

Later they grouped into sets and -- finally -- produced the "Definitive Collection" (which is fantastic). Getting that in high def would be fantastic.

Right now, all 5 seasons retail for $70 each (~$40 in stores) and the box set is $300 ($150-200 depending where you shop). Pricey, but I'd pay that for the BD set in a heartbeat.

Can someone please tell me what the difference is between the 2010 Twilight Zone releases Season 1 - Season 5 as compared to the 2016 releases of the same blu-rays.

i sold mine years ago and i want to re buy the whole set. i think i had the whole set from 2010

what is the difference?

do they look the same?

are the 2010 ones ok quality or are the 2016 ones better.

i want to get the ones i used to have - i bought them originally from barnes and noble. if i buy them from barnes and noble now - would i get the same ones from 2010 or no?

do they come in standard or wide screen - i cannot remember what i had

where is the best place to buy? amazon? who has the best prices?

thanks so much

4:3 of course.

I believe they are identical discs just reissued.

Default Twilight Zone 2010 vs 2016 Releases

Can anyone please be of help.I remember i bought all 5 seasons of the twilight zone on blu-ray around 2010 from barnes and noble. i did not get a chance to watch them and ultimately sold my whole collection of blu-rays. now i am sorry i did and i am trying to get all 5 seasons back.m what is the difference between those that i had in 2010 vs what has come out in 2016? is the artwork the same on the covers? are both sets in widescreen version or was the 2010 ones in full screen? which is preferable - widescreen or full screen? i want the original art from the 2010 release. can anyone please tell me if the newer release in 2016 has the same artwork? im not sure what to do? i loved the artwork from 2010 release. im just not sure if the packaging is the same on both sets. any info would be much appreciated. i just dont know about if the 2010 had full screen and if 2016 has the widescreen? please help. randy

were both the 2010 and the 2016 both widescreen versions? are the 2016 better than the 2010? like i said i want the original artwork for my blu-ray collection. i dont really know what numbers equate to full screen and what does for widescreen - not sure of the ratios that people talk about

i now see that 16 x 9 is wide screen

and 4;3 is full screen
