Has anyone seen this movie ? Any reviews please ? It would be a blind purchase and I am a huge soccer fan being born in England... so its all about the premiership for me.

Hey there,

It's a great movie. Bear in my mind I'm not even really a footy fan (I do live in Leeds though). For me it worked as really interesting story about an unusual, talented yet flawed man. Micheal Sheen is amazing (as always) and Timothy Spall is also great.

Highly recommended. Go for it man.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. Michael Sheen is excellent as Cloughie and the film really captures the "rough around the edges" essence of 70's footy.

IMO, it's Michael Sheen's finest screen performance yet, and probably the best acting performance that I saw in 2009. Highly recommended.

It's an excellent film. If you're a huge soccer fan, you probably know at least a little about Brian Clough (IMO, the best English manager ever) and his legendary self-confidence. As others have stated, it's another fantastic performance by Sheen, one of his best and he captures the essence of Cloughie perfectly. Haven't seen it on Blu, saw it in the Cinema, so can't give views on the AQ/PQ but can fully recommend the film.
