any info on streets of fire blu-ray release
would be a totally awesome soundtrack on dts hdma.

According to Universal, there is currently no plan for release.

I buy so few of movies,and the ones from the past I would buy they seem to never or take forever to come out,why I dont know.When they do finally come out there will be a new format.

I've got the HD DVD and it breaks my heart to know that it's a coaster the day my player gives up on me. Just give me the same thing on Blu-ray and I'll be ecstatic.

(Michael Pare DID just have a bit role in Lincoln Lawyer, soooooooo...)

Can't believe that this was released on HD-DVD, which means it must have been remastered, but still isn't out of BD. Who cars about Star Wars? I want Streets of Fire and The Rocketeer!

I loved this film as a kid in the 80's. I have the hd-dvd as well and actually converted it (and all of my other exclusive HD-DVD's) to blu-ray some time ago. Very easy to do. I still have a lot of hd-dvd's, but got rid of my two players a long time ago.

Had no idea this was released on HD-DVD, might have to look into it. This has been one of my favorites since I blind bought it on DVD several years ago, I would definitely support a blu release

Count me in as another fan of this film. I saw it for the first time in the past year and loved it. It's a shame that it's so obscure (it never seems to come on TV).

There's still a bunch of Universal movies exclusive to HDDVD that I'd love to have on blu. Streets of Fire, Dragonheart, The Jerk, Mallrats, Midnight Run, Sea of Love and The Sting aren't available anywhere in the world on blu-ray.

Loved this uniquely stylistic movie, the awesome music with that unbelievable beat and the '50's-retro 'verse its set in-since it came out!! Finger snapping, toe tapping, tunes that invade you're personal space like bombers at an Ellen Aames concert!! Especially two of my favorites.... "I Can Dream About You"!!! (Still a showstopper today)...and "Going Nowhere Fast"!! I went out and got the soundtrack the very next day! One of my favorites to watch on..(and yes I still love this format) LASERDISC! But that doesn't mean I wouldn't LOVE a Blu-Ray release! So please help me in my quest, oh PTB! AND release this lost Michael Pare & Diane Lane MUSIC-FEST TO THIS TRUE-BLU FAN!!

Well, the Dragonheart release on BD was a DNR-fest, and it looks a fair bit worse than the HD DVD. I suppose Streets of Fire will follow a similar path...

Broke down last year and brought it on HD-DVD and a cheep player from eBay. I was surprised that there were no extras on the disc. If it comes out on Blu-ray, I would like a "Special Edition" with commentaries from the production crew/actors and all of the music video made for the film (especially “I Can Dream About You” by Dan Hartman).

Hoping that Shout Factory looks into releasing it. 30th anniversary is next year....Netflix will have it available in HD on April 1st
