For $149.99 try the GEM Dandy. It got rave reviews from 6moons Audio.

For $59.99 you're not risking that much to find out. My question is, how do you actually spin the record. Also, do you have to use the same dirty bath water/solution when cleaning multiple records? It would seem to me that sort of defeats the purpose of the cleaning process. And, if you have to remix a new batch to clean every record, then it would appear that you would be spending alot of money on cleaning fluids. But hey, those are just my concerns.

Hi John, even at the modest price of $149.99, that's still 3x's the price for the item he's looking at.

No question, but I wanted to provide an alternative. Steve (dobyblue) uses one and he loves it.

Your points about the Spin-Clean is something I'd want to look into as well.

And for what's it worth, if you're careful, a light scrubbing with a micro-fiber cloth under a tepid temperature tap works pretty good. Put it in a dishrack when done and let it air-dry. Cost=$0.00

Whoops, sorry to get back to this so late.

In the latest version of Stereophile the Spin-Clean actually gets awesome reviews. So I think I will give it a try. I'll let people know what I think whenever I get it in.

in the same issue page 131, someone from spin clean clarifies that the dirt particles in the solution acutally clump together and fall to the bottom so that its not re-deposited on other lps while cleaning. im about to use mine for the first time since i have about 100 7" discs to do.

got done cleaning about 50 7" discs and one 12". pretty easy and it gets the job done. i didnt realize how dirty the water was until i emptied it to rinse it out. all dirt was on the bottom. also didnt have any liquid get to the lables. one thing that i did notice was that my unit had one set of brushes on the bottom center and a lot of pics seem to show two sets at an angle on the left and right, or at least thats what it looked like. i say not bad for 60 bucks

Glad it's working out. Do you think that maybe the design changed?

if it did i cant tell. its my first unit from them so i havent seen any others besides pics. also there isnt any slots off to the side for the brushes so if it did change, then they changed the mold on the unit. either way, it works as it is. gonna clean the rest of my 7" discs, about 50. theyre whats left of my old collection that wast lost in a fire. really excited that spin clean is bringing them back to life
