Def Jam Icon - Blu-ray Forum

I just started playing DEFJAM Icon, and I am very disappointed. I haven't played very much, but so far the character selection is weak. One of the best things about the earlier games was the amount of rappers you could play as. Maybe I'm wrong, but are there more rappers in this game than displayed on the Defjam Website? Do you unlock them as you go along? I remember there were like 70+ in the previous versions, this one seems to have like 15. Can someone please let me know.

I usually never regret buying a video game and this is one of them. Other than the music this game totally blows, only time i played it was when i had a couple friends over but that got tired fast too, the charactes were too damn slow and like you said, not enough of them.

you shouldn't have bought it. I owned it for one day, and sold it the next. try to get a trade in value for it, or trade it with someone who would interested in the game.

I played the demo for this and really enjoyed it, but I rented it as I wasn't 100% sold. I played it the first day I rented it, and that was about it. After the initial fun factor wears off, it got REAL boring, REAL fast.

you unlock more characters by playing through the build a career mode , which you can finish in a few hours i nearly finished it in a day but got stuck on the end boss. finish and sell it asap its really not that great.

Def Jam Icon had one of the worst demos I've ever played. Not surprising to hear the actual game isn't much better. The gameplay is nonexistent, the graphic framerate was horrible, and the combat was boring.

Icon is such a terrible game!

I love Fight for New York, they really need to go back to that fighting engine because that whole "Scratching" thing is so pointless.

Just because you have a fighter with Rappers in it doesn't mean you have to add a "scratching" feature into the fighting mechanics.

Let's hope the next one is better.

I was so underwhelmed by the demo

, particularly after liking Def Jam 2, that I never even considered a rent.
