When buying from Amazon, what is your preferred delivery method? My wife almost always chooses the Free delivery option, which usually means a) a deliberate delay of 3-5 business days before shipping begins, and then snail mail USPS.
This is about to change as the most recent experience with the USPS just cost us $153 as the merchandise was delivered to someone else. PS: I thought about turning this into a Poll, but beyond checking the poll checkbox option I couldn't remember how vBulletin does poll creation. ![]() |

I go with Prime just because I am impatient and like to be able to get free 2 day shipping with any size orders and not have to worry about getting up to the $25 minimum. I order all my Blu-rays and books on Amazon as well as other various items so it's worth the $79 a year to me. I also like getting everything UPS. I trust them the most and if it's an item that requires a signature the dispatch office is on my way home and open the latest, whereas the Fedex and USPS offices are on the complete other side of town.

Free delivery.
I have a backlog of about 30 personal Blu-rays, 14 review Blu-rays, 6 seasons of TV on DVD, and 5 incomplete PS3 games though. So, I have plenty to occupy my time. I have no need of the "I MUST HAVE IT YESTERDAY" mentality. |

Another vote for Prime. I wasn't sure at first if I'd use it enough to make it worthwhile, but I quickly found out that I would. With the significant decrease in shipping time, it starting making me much more unlikely to head to Wal-Mart, Best Buy, or a host of other stores for purchases, which not only saved me on the purchase price most of the time, but also tax and gas. Unless somewhere else has a great price that comes in lower than Amazon after tax and/or shipping, now I've gotten to the point where pretty much the only things I don't buy from Amazon are food and clothes (and I've even picked up a few clothes through Amazon). I've saved quite a bit of money in the long run with Prime.

I'd recommend Prime if you order from Amazon a lot. I signed up for it a couple of years ago and it's been great. Free two-day on everything and release-date delivery on certain movies and games. Before I had it I always picked the free super-saver shipping. UPS is definitely more reliable that USPS.

Free Delivery.
I get it in 2-3 days from Order anyway (most times) when they say 2-3 weeks it usually means within 1 week. Maybe I am lucky to have an Amazon Distribution center an hour away (granted next state) so that probably helps. |

I cant see how anyone here doesnt use Prime. i am in a group also so its only $16 but even at full price its worth it. No minimun order, almost next day all the time for me and 3.99 overnight if you need it no matter what the size, weight or anything is
