Default The Hurt Locker's "shaky cam"

Is the Blu-ray version of this really worth it? I haven't seen it, but I heard there's a lot of shaky cam.

What shaky cam is in this film adds to the effect IMO and suits the film very well.

Since you are unsure though, just rent it. Seems like the obvious thing to do in this situation.

Did the "shaky cam" in Cloverfield bother you?

There is quite a bit of hand-held in this movie. I don't recall much stylistic shaky cam (i.e. Bourne II).

I saw this last night and there are bits of "shaky cam". But nothing(read all the time) like in Cloverfield or District 9 which I found very irritating.

WORTH IT! Blind bought and could not have been happier. The "shaky cam" makes you feel like you're there. You won't notice it unless that is all you focus on.

Having blind bought this film not knowing what to expect (except for positive reviews) i absolutely loved it. I can honestly say it's one of the best films of the year. Personally, i can understand anyone's hesitation to a film with shaky cam. I find it detracting and annoying. This film does it perfect. Much like District 9.

I personally thought Cloverfield was a terrible film. I personally disliked it. I felt sick after viewing it. You will not have that issue with this. HAve fun!

I found there to be very little shaky cam and only when it was really necessary. The picture quality of the release is at a near reference level, it's fantastic, same as the sound.

I think this is a top 5 PQ film for me not to mention the film itself is superb. This is the best recent example I can cite for why in a lot of cases film is a better medium to capture and display film than digital can be. Sort of stunning that s16mm cameras were used for this and they really, really shine. The realism of the film would be lost in some respects if digital cameras were used.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm not a fan of shaky cams, and I blind bought this movie and I should watch it tonight. I did also recently bought/watched District 9 and the camera wasn't too bad.

Finished watching the movie. Camera shots were not that bad. Just the beginning of the movie. Other than that, this was a GREAT MOVIE!!

I'm part of the "Pro-Cloverfield" camp. "Paranormal Activity", where in some scenes it was more like "Frantic Cam", my female friend couldn't handle it.

Haha, now that was a bit much eh? I'd rather go on a full stomach to the craziest amusement park ride than watch that movie.
