Talladega Nights Unrated? - Blu-ray Forum

I watched this yesterday and can't understand why it would be unrated. Am I missing something?

i BOUGHT THE unrated disc from Circuit City some time ago and it said unrated, however on the disc itsself says rated...I think it was a studio error

I read some older threads and the case and disc both say unrated but it definately seems like it is the ps3 PG-13 version.

Its mostly really short scene extensions, a very small set of additional scenes, and some alternate dialogue.

Thanks. After looking at that I would have to say this is the worst unrated version of a movie I have ever seen.

Unrated does not mean there is anything that wouldn't be rate-able, had they submitted it to the MPAA - it just means that they did not actually submit it, hence it has no rating. The word is meant to conjure thoughts of material too raunch/sexual/offensive for theaters, but it is all a marketing ploy.

Yeah the changes are minimal. more of a marketing thing then anything else, I love the movie so i've owned the Blu for a while

On another note, that movie-censorship website is awesome, it really is one of the best sites for keeping informed on home video changes. i stumbled across it about 3 months ago and i visit it regularly

I have to agree. This is one of the rare modern comedies that didn't let me down. I remember seeing previews and thinking it could be good... and I've watched multiple times and always enjoy it.

Just because you find Will Ferrell's incredibly unfunny romp into the relm of nascrap, halarious, doesn't mean that you suck.
