Unhappy Got some new speaker cable and now I'm confused how to wire for the best sound

I purchased the bi wire cable from best deal cables and to my surprise the terminations are 4 on one end and 2 on the other. I want to biwire my system to run treble to the to the upper speakers and bass to the lower. I have the Marantz sr4003 if that helps. How I had it setup b4 was biwire with 4 terminations I ran 1 set to the A channel and one set to the C or surround. With the way the new cables are I run the cables to the A speaker and B speaker if that makes sense. I can add 2 more cables to run from the C to the speakers but my friend is claiming that using the A and B channel on the receiver is not good because I am splitting the power..

2 connections on one end and 4 on the other is standard for a bi-wire cable. The end with 2 connectors connects to a pair of your amp's speaker terminals, and the 4 at the other end connect to your speaker's terminals. Don't forget to remove the jumper strip!

Yeah but to me that is not truly bi wiring. I want to be able to run the A channel and the C channel at the same time to the same speaker. I am guessing I need to return the cables and get some with four terminations on each end.

what you are looking for is bi-amping. Bi-wiring is just that, double the wire, but no difference with the amps. Hopefully you can return the wire and get what you really need.

Many people confuse bi-amping with bi-wiring. Read the Bi-amping and Bi-wiring thread.
