Smallville Season 8 Bestbuy Exclusive Steel Case

For those for love Steel Cases I spotted Smallville Season 8 in Steel Case edition in a Bestbuy store. I dont think these were widely available because it wasnt available in my local BBY store. The cover art is different than the slipcase. This title is going to be $24.99 next week(starting from sunday) and I will buy one. I will post pics if anyone interested.

If it's the same as the one that was available when it released it was more of a tin than a steelcase. Basically it came with the standard blu-ray case and slid into the steel tin. The tin didn't open/close. They only had a couple available and the inside of my blu case had a broken pin and the disc holders drooped down so when I took it back I had to get a standard edition to replace it since no other steel copies were available.

They have one for Terminator the show too. I'm not sure if it's season 1 or 2. I thinks it's season 2. It's waaaaay too expensive $60.00.

I picked up the steel slipcover version when it first came out. I took the steel slipcover off and put it in storage while the regular case is what made it on my shelf.

I'm not usually a slipcover guy, but I won both this Smallville case and the similar on from Sarah Connor season 2. I absolutely love them. Highly recommend!

I looked in a local BB on Monday the week of the sale and they didn't have any of the steel slip covers.

I was about to purchase Smallville Season 8 via Amazon when I figured I would check some local Best Buy's to see if they happened to have any of the steel case versions left. After checking 4 stores, I found 1 copy left that was in mint condition. I even called the specific store where I found it in ahead of time to see if they had it in stock and they said no, but I went anyway. I was very excited and pleased, I have been wanting this for a while!

I bought both Smallville & Terminator: TSCC when they came out. They didn't have them long at my BB. The cases fit great in my copies...nothing broken. I could have waited for the price to go down but I'm glad a got one for both shows.

I can't imagine anyone buying that. From the pic it looked like it was the case only. When I got mine back in August I thought I saw the blu case stick out a little at the end but I could be wrong. In any case that's way over priced IMO.

The one for Terminator: Season 2 is hard to find too now, but I prefer the regular.

I saw one today in my best buy in san diego, the one by grossmont center
The plastic wrap was torn on it and you could tell that the dvd were loose inside
I was thinking about it but I though for 40 something it was too expensive even though it did look nice

I saw one a few months ago at one of the Worst Buys here in H-Town(Houston to the layperson). But it was going for list price which is ridiculous. I don't know if they still have it there, but I can check.
