Default Top 100 Rock Albums of All Time

I came across this list while looking for SACDs. I know it's subjective but there are some great titles on the list.

I tried to include it in this post and it wouldn't work for me either. Strange.

For some reason the URL does not want to be linked. I went directly to the site to view the list. For the most part I agree with that list.

Pretty good looking list. I do find it funny a Madonna album made it though.

I guess pop means rock now? The Beatles? And Zoso can't crack the top 10? I respected these guys when they ranked LZ number 1 as top rock band of all time, but now, i don't know. You throw Michael Jackson and Lyle Lovett in there too?!?!?! Even taking out those few, this is more apt to be called Best Classic Rock albums. I don't usually bash lists because they're objective but never this retarded.

I thought MJ was pop, not rock. Same with Madonna?

Good to see Pink Floyd and Led Zep occupying so many top spots, a couple of my all-time favorite bands & albums right there...

No surprise there. I would have liked to have seen Alice in Chains-Dirt towards the bottom. I love that album.

I'm preferential to The Foo Fighters myself. I'd have loved to seen The Colour & Shape, oh well.

I think they should switch Sgt. Pepper's and DSOTM for #1. I liked both albums, but Sgt. Pepper's is more deserving of the #1 spot than Dark Side.

No Black Sabbath, Kiss, Iron Maiden, the Ramones and Master of Puppets is the worst ranked Metallica album...and Pump is ahead of Toys in the Attic from Aerosmith...Spinal Tap made it?

The rest of the list has some all time greats..even though genres on the list are quite mixed .. rock is Van Halen or AC/DC not Madonna and MJ..

Not bad.....I have 74 out of 100 of these on vinyl! I'm really surprised however how low The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds album was ranked. And almost flabbergasted that Stevie Wonder - Songs In The Key Of Life didn't garner a position on this list.

All in all, not a bad list!

So the Beastie Boys are on there, but not Rage Against the Machine?

I know these lists are subjective, but a lot of these aren't rock.

Also 3 Metallica albums but no Megadeth?
