Default Help me look for an HDTV for PS3/Wii/Blu-ray use? My story at BB

The other day at best buy I bought a laptop on that on sale (eMachine laptop for $280). I decided to browse at these HDTVs while I was there. I ran across a quite in a few in one aisle. Although they were the least popular brands like dynex, insignma, etc. Are they even good? Well anyways, while they were playing Avatar (behind the scenes) there was a toshiba t.v. that got my attention and it looked AMAZING. Not sure if it was the t.v. itself or it was Avatar that made it looked amazing. Probably the t.v., because there was a side-by-side comparison and it looked better on Toshiba than the Dynex next to it. Anyways here's the info of the t.v. I fell in love with. Sorry for the blurriness:

So what do you guys think what kind of HDTV I should get? Let me give you more information. I am going to use it as a bedroom t.v. It is about 3 or 4 ft away from where I am going to see it (from bed to across to t.v. drawer). I would prefer a 26 inch or a 32 inch but I am not entirely sure. I also heard that 720p looks the same as 1080p if the person viewing it is close to the t.v. so give me opinions on that.

I know there should tons of sales going on soon because of the superbowl. So recommend me a t.v. that is good for PS3 gaming/Wii gaming/Blu-ray use and under the budget under $400? I prefer something name brand. My first HDTV!! yay
