Please only vote if you have seen both.
The film, not the Blu-ray ![]() Which one was better, and why? I say Moon. I liked the story better and I thought the ending of Sunshine took the twist way too far. Sams performance was fantastic. I loved the sound design and use of silence in both films though. Last edited by SquidPuppet; 01-28-2010 at 05:10 PM. |

There's a separate forum for movie discussion.

the "twist" of moon seemed really cheesy to me, i kept expecting that it was just all in his head, however the burnt guy in sunshine was pretty ridiculous also, overall i think sunshine was more enjoyable though. i guess sam rockwell did a great job but its pretty difficult to watch a movie with basically only one actor

As much as I enjoyed "Sunshine" visually and audio-wise, I just didn't enjoy the horror transition. It didn't work for me. As for "Moon"...I felt the film worked! I was impressed! |

![]() On the other hand, Moon had me from beginning to end. Sam's performance was excellent. It just goes to show how quality production can trump the need for a large budget. |

Tough choice. I wasn't blown away by either, though that could be related to them being severely overhyped to me. I saw each of them twice, and liked each less on the second viewing.
I'll go with Moon for two reasons: 1) Sam Rockwell's performance, 2) the fact that it was made for such little money. |

What's your point? My avatar is a joke, it means nothing about what I think about Avatar.
But enjoy pretending you understand Sunshine and Moon, and that they're deep, intellectual movies, while also hating anything that you think you should hate, for being too simple and mainstream. |

Sunshine is still a good movie, had a lot of potential. |
