Default The Bourne Trilogy

I was at Best Buy today and I was going to pick up the Bourne Identity and the Bourne Ultimatum on blu-ray since the studio released them individually only to find out that they're a double-sided disc. On one side is the blu-ray version and on the other side a DVD version of the movie. Needless to say I didn't buy them.

Maybe it's just me but I've never liked the dual-sided discs (not even when they released DVD's with both WS and FS). Anyone else feel this way?

I guess I'll just buy the box set that has been out for awhile.

What is it you don't like What's the difference? You still pop it out of the disc into the player same as always...

I agree... I hate them.

If my wife puts it in she wont even notice dvd or bluray... and I will end up watching the crap version.

Why would I want a DVD if I am buying a blu-ray.

I WANT THE BEST for the CHEAPEST.

Exactly! If I wanted the DVD I would've bought the DVD. Don't need a dual-sided blu-ray... oh well

Import them from the UK. They are region free and cost around $30 shipped.

Got mine from Amazon UK. Absolutely amazing movies on blu-ray. I think it was $28 usd for all 3, great deal as well.

Eh, for the double sided discs, I can take them or leave them, no big deal. It wouldnt prevent me from buying them, but I would never look for them as a reason to buy.

I also order mine from amazon UK and it arrived in great shape and faster than the stuff I order from Amazon in the US. It took the Royal mail 5 days to ship it to rural Iowa from England and it takes USPS 7 days to ship stuff to me from Kentucky.

Just a quick question.
The Bourne Trilogy listed on amazon.ca.uk mentions that it's Region 2 only but on this site it states that the UK version is Region free. I just need some clarification before I purchase, both sites list the price at 17.98 Euros.

Amazon US, UK, Canada, Japan, France, and Germany will frequently use the same information from the DVD release for Blu-ray Disc listings.

Blu-ray Discs have Region A, B, and C only while the numbers are for DVD releases only.

I don't have a problem with the idea of the flipper. I like having the DVD versions because I can watch them at the fire station where there's no blu-ray player. I would much rather have this than a digital copy. However, I've read quite a few people are having playback issues with these discs so it appears they have some bugs to work out if they are going to keep using this type of disc.

I completely agree with you that having a DVD copy is a good thing in case you're somewhere that doesn't have a blu-ray player. I just prefer the blu-ray releases that have a separate disc for the DVD copy. But yeah, I would definitely rather have a DVD copy instead of a digital copy.

I bought the individual flipper discs last night. I was really ticked off, when the Bourne Supremecy had that little black security strip pasted directly onto the disc itself. Granted it was the DVD side, but still pretty poor QC. Hopefully Best Buy will let me exchange it for another one.
