Default Could i use a Samlex power supply?

I have a very modest setup right now, and dont need an amp or anything to drive my current speakers. My brother in law is selling/getting rid of differant components, do you think after differant upgrades I might ever find myself needing a Samlex power supply? I can get it off him dirt cheap, and this amazon listing might be the exact model as well.. Thanks!

p.s. if anyone else is looking for it and i arrive at the conclusion I won't need it I might put it for sale in the forums.

i dont think there is any home theater equipment that runs off dc 13.8 volts. this is more useful for testing DC electronic equipment, or running automobile designed electronics.
