Just found this on TVshowsondvd.com that season 6 and the complete series are rumord for August 24th 2010. I will be going for the single season route but hope we get a lot of cool features for the final season.

That doesn't seem right at all. Last two seasons came out in December, and I can imagine - with this being the last season - that ABC would push this for a christmas gift. Unless they want to release season 6 by itself in august and then release a complete series pack in December. But still, the show will finish in May and be out on blu three months later? Either we're not getting any special features (or maybe they already have them but doubt it) or this date is way off.

Beat me to it detective. Saw it on DarkUFO too
![]() What I'm wondering is why LOST U is on S6...never really liked ARG's, especially that one. I'll be getting this for sure though, along with the millions of other DHARMA bundles/tins/boxsets they'll be releasing with all six seasons included. |

It does suck that I'm rewarded for buying the sets and doing business with Disney by being excluded of 2 hours on bonus content, but I can live with it.
My problem with getting everything all at once is if there's a problem with any of your discs, you probably have 60 days (stores are usually a bit flexible with large sets from my experience) to watch your set or if you do find a problem later you won't get a return or an exchange, but have to be dealing with the studio directly. I know my seasons play and I'm more than happy with how they look and, honestly, I haven't watched all the bonus features I have. The only thing that could make me change my mind would be a disc that had a very long sit down with the main cast members together after the show talking about their experiences. I'm a sucker for that, but I don't expect they'll do it. I think the Seinfeld set had something like that and the Buffy set, both on SD of course. I bit on the Buffy set, but not the Seinfeld one because the Seinfeld sets individually had tons of insight from the main cast already. |

I just got into this series and bought the first 5. I am only going to be able to get through the 1st 3 seasons by the time the 6th season premieres so I am going to have to wait until the 6th Blu releases before I get to see how it all ends. that sucks.

maybe they are trying to release it fast so the show can be the first complete tv show collection on bluray? Any ideas on the packaging of the complete collection? It would be awesome if each one came with a small piece of the plane crash or something.

Well expecting a complete set, yes obviously. But having exclusive content? Really not cool, no matter what series it is. I don't get what the point of that is - to try to lure a few really obsessive fans in, while pissing off the fanbase as a whole? Just put the disc of "exclusive content" in both the Season 6 set and the complete set.

Darlton needs to have a commentary for the finale but I suspect they won't because they feel they won't need to 'explain themselves' - which they don't but I'd still like to hear them in an official capacity for Lost one last time.

I don't know if I am a "hardcore" can or not. I do have all the statues or whatever they are. I also have all the blu's. I really don't like "exclusive" content for complete sets and everyone else that was there from the beginning, get's shafted.
I guess that's the price of doing business? If the set is REALLY FREAKING AWESOME, I MIGHT consider it. However it has to be OUT OF THIS WORLD. |
