Default The Departed: Which Blu-ray Version

I noticed that on Feb. 2 they are releasing The Departed in Blu Ray. Amazon now shows 2 blu-ray versions of this movie, both at 14.99. I was ready to order the Feb. 2 release, given that the Warner web site lists this as basically a repackaging of the 2007 version. But when conparing the details of both versions on the Amazon site , I noticed the following:

aspect ratio old:2.40:1, new:1.77:1

I suspect it's just a typo but can't be certain.

Also, I currently own the 2-dvd non blu ray version. Is it worth owning the blu ray as well?

Thanks.

They are exactly the same, only difference is the new one has a gold slipcover. Aspect ratio is a typo.

Just don't expect it to come with the slipcover for sure.

That's the whole point of the reissue, it's repackaged. Highly unlikely the cover art will be any different.

This was severely overdue for a 2 disk set w/commentary by Scorsese. Another sloppy move by WB.

I got the UK release. Looks great, but it seems a bit red. The faces.

Anyone else?

Anyone else got the UK release.

Is it a PS3 issue. I heard someone say once that PS3 doesn't produce colors as accurately as standalones, they even said too red. I have some other BDs that the faces seem too red as well.

The same TV settings for the DVD never give me a problem. Not sure maybe the extra vibrant colors from the BD just seems to be too red after years of DVDs. I know they are different machines and different formats; I am sure it is not the TV.

Either the BD is tuned a bit too much to the red side, like Rocky, or PS3 just screws with some BDs. Either which way, IDK.

I want to know that too. Any difference between UK and US release?

Wondered about EiV. Never heard of them. Saw that they released some big movies so I figured what the heck.
