floor model kdl 46s5100 for $620?

A local store has one Sony kdl 46s5100 46in lcd left and its the floor model. They are asking $620 bucks for it which seems like a decent price. Brand new they are $770-799. But im worried about reliability as it has been on display about 9 months. That's like 300 days of being turned on for 12 hours a day. For $50 I can get a 2 year service plan. What are peoples experiences/opinions on buying a floor model?

Go in & offer them $500.oo bucks for it . If they are trying to unload it they may take the offer .

I work in an electronics store. Do not buy a floor model tv. That thing has been on torch mode for way too long.

Hmmm, only at Sony Style stores have I seen the TV's set to Standard picture mode, the salesperson showed me and told me that corporate wants them set that way to give a realistic in store picture as one would see at home.

I would give it a try for that price but just make sure you get the 2 year service plan with it as well.
