If they do make another Spider-Man film, I can almost guarantee that they'll be releasing the Spider-Man Animated Series on DVD.

Yeah, I hope we get the Spider-Man toon sooner rather than later.

I really hope they don't wait for the Spidey reboot.

Depending on whether Disney owns it--
There's only so much of Marvel/Sunbow/Claster/what-have-you that Disney can show on Toon XD under their own ownership, which is why we were lucky to get The Tick and X-Men:Classic when we did.

Disney may own the characters for future projects, but the owners of the old series still have something to say.
Hard to tell how much 90's Saturday Morning may still be owned by Fox, but if there's an announcement of that cheesy early 00's "Avengers" to cash in on Captain America, we'll know for certain.

Disney owns all of the '90 Marvel cartoons.

X-Men
Spider-Man
Iron Man
Fantastic Four
Silver Surfer
Incredible Hulk
Avengers

Its crazy how little episodes these got compared to other shows, but now that I look back most shows didn't get many episodes I don't know why growing up I always thought there were tons and tons of episodes to shows.

Not only the '90s Marvel tv shows are owned by Disney, but every single one made by Marvel Productions/DePatie-Freleng (which were sold to Saban, which in turn was sold to Disney).

I think the complete list of Marvel tv series owned by Disney through the Saban deal is this:

1966 - The Marvel Superheroes Show
1967 - Spider-Man (1967 TV Series)
1978 - The New Fantastic Four
1979 - Spider-Woman
1981 - Spider-Man (1981 TV Series)
1981 - Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends
1989 - X-Men: Pryde of the X-Men (Pilot)
1992 - X-Men(: TAS)
1994 - Spider-Man(: TAS)
1994 - Fantastic Four
1994 - Iron Man
1996 - The Incredible Hulk
1998 - Silver Surfer
1999 - The Avengers - United They Stand
1999 - Spider-Man Unlimited

Iron Man, Surfer and Fantastic Four (the 90's syndicated one, not the 00's Cartoon Network one) were weekly episodes, IIRC, that syndie stations tried to show on Sunday mornings, and didn't get a strip-syndication of 65 Mon-Fri episodes, like we picture most cartoons.
Still, makes the series short-but-sweet to watch, and we have a better chance of watching them on disk than we ever had of catching them on local pre-CW UHF stations at 10am Sundays.
