ok, not quite 4 but almost. If co-op even better.

Already have:
Motostorm:Pacific Rift (which he loves)
Burnout
1943 (Airplane game)
Magic Ball (a bit hard for him)

Thinking about:
Lego Star Wars: Complete
mod nation racer when it comes out

Little BIG Planet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My now 5 year old girl absolutely loves the game. Easy to figure out, unlimited entertainment when downloading new levels from PSN. She's got it on the PSP also.
Helps the kids think about how various objects interact with one another. Great social thing as people can join in and play right with them.

Worth the $$$$

I second LittlebigPlanet.

I would also recommend the Dance Dance Revolution that should be coming out soon. Kids love DDR.

you cant go wrong with any of the disney pixar games, or anything based on a kids movie for that matter, or the lego games, but definitely little big planet would be fun, and it can be a cool learning experience for the kids as well

Lego anything. Ratchet & Clank. Littlebigplanet. Modnation Racers. Flower is lovely. But especially Littlebigplanet, one of the best games around for either kids or adults.
