From Dusk Til Dawn/Swingers BD from amazon.ca - Blu-ray Forum

I would love to have both films on BD. Amazon.ca (Canada) is selling both, does anyone have any experience with either releases? They are both referred to as NTSC, does that mean both will be compatible with a standard US blu-ray player? Anyone own either of the releases? Reviews? Any help you may offer is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

canada is the same region as the US so they are compatible. i have from dusk till dawn, the pq is great but i dont think its oar

Original Aspect Ratio is altered? That's sad. I read that Se7en is the same way. One could assume Swingers is also not oar. That is too bad

One can only hope for a US release that stays true.

75% of Alliance releases aren't. Some are far off, some are spot on, like ETOTSM.

Swingers: 1080/24p, English DTS-HD MA 5.1. And the aspect ratio is actually the true 1.85:1, not a slightly opened 1.78:1

Dusk Til Dawn looks just as dynamic as it sounds. Worth the purchase imo, since it's improbable we'll ever see a proper US release anytime soon.

Is anyone aware of a post or thread with reviews on the Alliance releases in terms of which ones are more spot on than off? Still considering From Dusk til Dawn, may be better than the alternative DVD at least until a US release.

hmm i think im gonna import these, ive never got anything not released in the u.s. do these look any different or are they of lesser quality in anyway?

FDTD is a huge upgrade from the DVD picture quality wise. I love this movie, and I have watched my DVD copy a trillion times. The BD was like seeing it for the first time.

I'd probably buy it again if a better quality one came out. But for now I'm happy with it as is. It's missing the second disc called FULL TILT BOOGY from the DVD release, which was a full length making of.
