Default Superman Returns re-issue?

I know it was mentioned earlier there was a good chance that Superman Returns would be re-issued on Blu-ray with an uncompressed LPCM soundtrack. This disc was included with the new Pioneer Elite Blu-ray player with an uncompressed LPCM soundtrack.

Has anyone heard any new info if it will still be released by the end of the year as a re-issue with an uncompressed LPCM soundtrack?

I haven't heard anything yet & was really hoping it would.

There will be no further copies made of the current lossy audio Blu-ray version.

The Superman Returns with TrueHD and LPCM, which I posted a scan of the back cover of my copy here and on AVS, will simply be the version that is re-stocked when the warehouses for the individual stores have been depleted.

Although the differences between the TrueHD and the PCM are incredibly slight, overall the PCM track is the winner.

I'm waiting to hear of a place that's actually stocking them. The Fry's sale is obviously an attempt to clear out the old ones.

Doby any idea when the new version will be released with the uncompressed soundtrack?

So why doesn't WB do what Sony did with The Fifth Element. WB is double and triple and quadrouple dipping...

Is there an indication on the packaging so that I can tell which version my local stores have?

I would like to see that as well but I have a feeling that we could see this around the release of the sequel in 2009 as they usually like to time things with the release of the films.

I've seen a master HD tape, IMAX, 35mm, DLP, DVD, Blu-Ray. They all look the same that's how it's supposed to look. It simply needs more bits to work out some of the issues.

And people who have seen the Krypton scene tell me you're really not missing that much

The redone back cover clearly shows the audio specs. There's no trick to it at all.

The only reason that is holding me the purchase of SR on HD DVD is the announcement of BD version with both Uncompressed PCM as well as TrueHD track with a re-encode of PQ to get rid-off compression artifacts that plagued the earlier releases.

Given that they just repressed the HD DVD version, I don't expect it to be too long
