Default Nvidia Fermi, thread of being delayed over, and over - Reviews out!!!

So Fermi, GF100, GTX480 or what ever you want to call it is coming out in March.

What do we know about it?

It's big, and powerful. Also very hot and has terrible yields so doesn't clock well. Pricing is said to be anywhere from $399-599 (more expensive than a games console!) for the single chip and upwards of $649 for a dual chip.

Will it be worth it?

Probably, yes. What Nvidia have done is nothing short of revolutionary and have taken a lot of pain for it. They have in essence created a 'quad core' GPU with 128 SPs in each core. Cores can be added and removed easily without rearchitecting the chip. So we will find out in 12-18 months how well Nv do from this.

Is it going to be better than ATi's chips?

Depends on which one, it will be significantly faster than 5850 and 5870, but not the 5970 which is where it will be priced to compete.

I'll try and keep the OP updated with developments as more info is released...
