Love the Set-Up.It Really Looks Great.
Nice Use of Sony Components and Speakers/Sub.

A wonderful Foundation to Construct a System, that will go as far as you choose to Take It.

But Now It is A Great Unit for your Apartment.
Wonderful Movie Posters(Especially the Star Wars 30th Anniversary Edition Collage).

I Really Look forward to following your system and the accessories you add,as you develop and continue adding gear to Create a Top Notch System.

Nice, I would try pulling the speakers away from the wall a bit though. You will get much better sound (unless there especially designed to be able to be placced in such a way). Otherwise, very nice.

thanks for the comments guys, the speakers are near the wall that close just for space saving purposes, the room is only 11'3"x13'4" so every inch counts.

here is the current couch (futon) I bought it in 2005 when I got my first apartment. I also had 2 Lazyboy Recliners that I just sold.

Since they're front ported, being close to the rear wall isn't a problem.

It seems as if everything happens at once... so my PS3 died last night. I've had it 2 years now, was watching a movie the other night and right at the end it froze up. Not thinking anything of it, things happen, I took the disk out and turned off the PS3. I go to play a movie tonight and boom, nothing. Tried another disk, nothing. Did a bit of research and tried a couple different methods for fixing any software issues that may be occuring. No help. The disk goes into the slot and doesn't spin. UGH!

So I went out and got the Sony BDP-N460 as a replacement. I figured it was the better choice since I NEVER play PS3 games, I've wanted to get a unit more set for my HT setup, plus, there may be a fix for my PS3 down the road I can perform.

Plus, I talked to the bestbuy guy, and its my experience 95% of them don't have a clue what they are selling, but this guy was awesome, AND said that when the BDP-S470 comes out next month I can upgrade.

I also decided last night to try a little masking of my SILVER comcast unit with electrical tape. its a bit foolish but so is comcast :P

here is a preliminary cell phone pic:

Busy Weekend!

Living in New England, I was part of the the 70+MPH winds that came through the coast of NH, and lost power thursday night, it was so bad that my offices closed and I had friday off. Soooo I went to comcast and exchanged my old DCH3416 Motorola box for the DCX3400, much nicer setup with a bigger HDD for recording onto the DVR.

Also, Saturday was the big day! Furniture got delivered and it looks great in the Apartment! Perfect size! still needs some fine tweaking regarding location and such, but overall it worked out perfectly. One piece of the 5 piece set was damaged at some point so it is being exchanged next saturday for (hopefully) a perfect corner piece that isnt ripped.

I'll post pics of the new furniture tonight.

Also, the BDP-S470 is in stock at bestbuy so i'm going to exchange the BDP-N460 for it.

Looks good jjj. My wife and I are in need of a sectional too. But like yourself, I have been buying other stuff for my HT first...hopefully I will have one by the end of the year. That does look a ton better than the futon. Did you get it from a chain or was it a local furniture store?

Thanks Fors*, it is such a nice feeling to be in my livingroom and actually enjoy sitting, watching a movie, etc and not having a hurting back or an eyesore when I have company. The furniture was from Bob's furniture. Kind of a chain but local to New England. I'm not sure how far their arms stretch. But check them out (http://www.mybobs.com/) and maybe you can work something out.

Question: Have neighbors ever complained? How do you manage being in an apartment (building?) and having such a killer setup ?
