5 Disc Blade Runner... - Blu-ray Forum

So I took everybody's advice here, and ordered it. Got it from Barnes And Noble for 30 bucks. Looking forward to starting on the low end of the quality ( workprint in 2.0 ) up to the Final which I expect to blow my socks off visually and aurally...

I did at first. Then I started watching the 2+ hour documentary and it sort of changed my mind about the movie.

I kind of regretted it.

Mine came with a duplicated disc

have they fixed the duplicate disc issue yet? I've been holding off on buying it until it has been resovled.

I bought mine at B&N, got it in the 5 disc Elite case and no duplicate discs... so they have fixed it... at least in some...

Yeah when I was younger I didn't really understand what was going on in the movie. I was just a big fan of Harrison Ford. After repeat viewings and reading about the movie it is one of my fav now. The movie has almost the same charm that Dune does

That documentary is more like 3+ hrs long lol but it is very interesting.

How do you know if you got a duplicate disc?
Do you just get 2 identical discs, of they are all labeled differently but two of them have the exact same content?

I've read that the duplicates were in the fifth disc, the work print, just pop it in and see if the work print disc is the same as The Final Cut disc.

I'm pretty sure that is what was the problem.

Ok Its looks like I have 2 copies of the 5th disc. One of them is labeled as the 'Final Cut Disc 1" with different artwork. But the introductions by Ridley Scott are the same for the "Workprint" on both discs.

You know, I have given this movie 3 solid tries and I just can't get into it. I don't know what it is. I like Ridley Scott, I like Harrison ford, I like sci-fi, and I like the premise of the movie. I don't know what it is. I rented the Final Cut Blu a few weeks ago, and again, I just can't get absorbed into it. I just don't "get it". I will say however that the AQ/PQ is outstanding especially for a movie of its age. I was blown away with the audio in the first couple minutes even. Just wish I could like this movie......

Does anyone lese noticed what seems to be light lines during some scenes? It kinda ruined the PQ I thought.

The PQ is perfect, maybe you should calibrate your tv?
I myself did not notice such a thing.
