Question Playing Back 16:9 & 4:3 Correctly

Hey everyone,

I've been trying to get this TV to display both 16:9 and 4:3 correctly under 1 setting.
It does put the digital TV content in the right aspect ratio, like not stretching 4:3 into 16:9 and all.
However, for the BD-player and the PS3 connected, it simply stretches any 4:3-content.
Is there any way I can fix this or will I have to keep switching at every change of aspect-ratio?

Also, without changing the settings, any 4:3-DVD is displayed correctly.
However, try a BD such as 'The Matrix', playback the bonus-content and it's stretched.
(I'm not sure if it's with all of them, but the bunch I tried this is the case.)
Which is just very weird, confusing and annoying...

Unfortunately I don't have an answer but I have the same problem so I feel your pain.

I posted a similar question in https://forum.blu-ray.com/blu-ray-mo...blu-ray-2.html and a few users replied that most TV's will flag 4:3 material, but for the life of me I cannot find this function on my television.

Thanks, I'll have a look.
Would be really stupid if many TVs don't display 4:3 correctly. -_-
This specific TV was nearly 1000 Euros too...

I actually might just have found the right settings though, like just now.
I was busy with it for a couple of days and I think I still might have overlooked something.
Too many settings and combinations you know. :P
