Any fans of the Tomb Raider games here?
Admittedly the more recent games have had their problems, but I still consider them great games. The series receives a lot of hatred from the gaming communiy nowadays from people who consider them Uncharted rip-offs (which is a load of crap - if anything, Uncharted is obviously inspired by Tomb Raider Legend.) People tend to overlook the influence and the genius of the original games - Tomb Raider 2 being my favourite. There was also a leak not to long ago regarding Tomb Raider IX. This concept has a younger Lara trapped on a remote island in Japan, stalked by bizarre creatures and traversing through claustrophobic underground tombs. The game relies more heavily on survival than previous games, and looks to be more of a horror game (which is fine with me - the scares from the original games are absent from the recent offerings.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7UgaAjOl98 |
