Default TV Shows you can't understand why people like?

I figured there's a thread like this about movies, so I wanted to see what people think about shows.

What shows do you not like and can't understand why people like them?

House and Grey's Anatomy.

House just gets on my nerves for some reason.

Grey's Anatomy is just like that SNL skit they did about it, they spend too much time on drama and not enough on the patients. I think it's because I really enjoyed ER though.

Reality shows.

I admit I jumped on the bandwagon during the last two or three weeks of American Idol. And I just remembered watching a marathon of that show with the Brady kid guy and his now-model wife on some channel. But that's it for me. I prefer escaping reality, not watching someone else's misery or buffoonery and have some bozos make money from it. But apparently, I'm in the minority.

I like Grey's Anatomy but in a way I've given up on it. It hasn't been good since Season 3. You're right too much drama within the doctors and not about the patients. That's what it used to be, little drama and more about the patients. Or at least I thought it was. Not really anymore and it's a shame. Too many people worry about the main characters than the now back story of the patients.

House I only ever watched if nothing was on. It seems like the same thing over and over. He's addicted to pain killers and miserable.

Some of the newer shows reality shows are funny though. As long as you don't take them seriously then it's fine. It's pretty interesting what some people will do just to get on TV.

Tyler Perry shows come to mind. Yuck! (Disclaimer - No offense if you like them!). House of Payne, Meet the Browns - I can't even sit through 5 minutes of that stuff (although I gave only a half-hearted effort). Comedy that doesn't have the funny parts.

My friends and I have a joke that the best thing Tyler Perry ever did was Star Trek.

House is one of my favorites if not on the very top. I agree it's the same thing over and over but I love Laurie's character, he cracks me up everytime.

I agree with reality shows, although I've watched American Idol and Real World far too long so I still watch those. Other then that though most reality shows drive me crazy.

So you basically don't like about 70% of CBS programming. I'm about the opposite of that, lol.

I guess so haha. I think I realized that when Medium started airing on CBS. I do like NCIS and Cold Case also. Some other shows I've only seen a couple times or don't have an opinion on them enough to understand why people could like them.

for me, i don't understand the obsession w/lost.

i've tried watching it a couple times and just couldn't get into it.

I like(d) HIMYM and Scrubs up until a certain point, but otherwise I completely agree. Big Bang Theory annoyed me.

The above list plus reality TV. Although competitive reality shows like Idol or the dancing ones can be enjoyable in theory, the one's with X number of people in (Random Setting) are ridiculous. Speaking of which, Lost sounds absolutely ridiculous. Guy at work was explaining it to me and I now have zero interest in checking it out.

The other thing I can't stand is any show with a laugh track. They need to have faith that their viewers are intelligent and know when something is funny. Probably why I love Community and other NBC shows.

The only shows with laugh tracks I liked were I Love Lucy and Friends.
