Suggestions for buying Blus - Blu-ray Forum

Hey everyone,

Just got some money from the birthday and looking to buy some blus. Here's what I'm considering buying. I've seen them all so it's basically just based off of PQ, AQ, and replayability for everyone else.

King Kong (own the 3 disc extended cut already)
Gamer (have watched not best quality version, action seemed choppy, but that could be different on Blu)
Pandorum (thought this was great on standard DVD)
Perfect Getaway (same as above)
Deep Impact (saw this awhile ago, but I'm craving some destruction and a good story)
L.A. Confidential (actually, I've never seen this, but hear it's incredible and I love deep stories)

I'm only going to get 5 probably so tell me the 5 that you think are worth buying. Thanks.

And again, I've seen all of these save for "L.A.," I just want everyone's opinion.

IMO, i would go w/ Kong and L.A. But i would pass on the others and get Changling (PQ/deep story), The Day After Tomorrow (AQ/PQ), Law Abiding Citizen (AQ/PQ/STORY), Monsters' Inc. (AQ/PQ), or UP! (PQ/STORY).

But thats just my opinion.

I'd go for King Kong. Great PQ (Naomi Watts at her best

in HD) & great AQ as well.

King Kong for sure. Amazing on Blu-ray. Haven't seen any of the others.

I have Up and Law Abiding Citizen is coming in my netflix. King Kong seems to be a must. Is it a must if I already own the Extended Cut on Blu?

Sorry for pestering, but anymore thoughts? It seems like "King Kong" and "L.A. Confidential" are two defs, but thoughts on the others?

Besides King Kong, which I'd not get, but that's a matter of taste, I'd also get Baraka (PQ\AQ, Story),
2001:ASO (PQ\AQ, Story),
Kung Fu Panda or Wall-E (PQ\AQ, Story) and
Jet Li's Fearless and\or Ang Lee's Hulk (PQ\AQ, Story)
