anyone see this? a great film imo. came out sometime ago and was wondering if there was any news on this.

It's still playing theatrically. Haven't seen, but its one of my 'watch for' titles.

I haven't seen it either, though my mother and sister said it was great. Nothing is pulling me to see it in the theater, but it's been in my Netflix queue for some time now. It was originally listed as a DVD, but has recently switched to Blu-ray. Although the release date is still "Unknown", as you would expect it to be for a movie that's still out in theaters.

It's been referred to as this years "The Wrestler," partly because of the has-been nature of the protagonist but also because of the performance of the lead. IMO, The Wrestler is a much better movie and performance, although Crazy Heart is very good in it's own right. The song is terrific.

so according to videoeta.com they say april sometime for those wondering. im def gonna pick this up even tho i think maggie gyllenhaall is ugly lol

At $35.99 USD (and $34.99 CDN at AMZ CA) for a pre-order, it's a little steep for this Dude fan. Will wait for a more reasonable price...

It is at 27.99 now. I think it was originally listing the Canadian version and its price, but they fixed it.

Sometimes Best Buy puts out catalog titles early, but usually not major day & date releases. I spotted this today and couldn't resist. Rang up 29.99, so I'll have to get a price adjustment next week.
