Germany "Schrei in der Stille" (The Reflecting Skin) Screenshots

Hi guys,

I once found a thread in this forum with a collection of movie screenshots, but I couldn't find it again, so I made this separate thread. It may be moved if necessary.

I want to present you some screenshots from the German BD "Schrei in der Stille" (The Reflecting Skin), the only BD from this film AFAIK.
You can get it here.

The images were taken with mplayer as a direct stream copy and saved losslessly as PNG. To reduce size I made JPG from it, but couldn't see a difference to the original. So what you see is 99% close to the original BD-quality. No corrections with Photoshop or alike.

As you can see, the image looks a little grainy, but on my screen (1,20 meters height) this was not annoying. It looked pretty good, just the contrast was too high (too much white).

Best Regards,
Sheriff Hobbes

I have the Japanese DVD and might better stick to that.
This looks pretty bad.

It's not as bad as it looks. I was kind of surprised too when I made the screenshots, because it looked better on the screen. No DVD would match up with it. And I payed a risible price: Euro 5,95 including shipping, much less than the DVD.

At Amazon.de you have a screenshot of the back with all the info. What else do you want to know?
At the Marketplace new copies start at only 3,29 €. With international shipping it starts at 8,21 €.

I have the Japanese dvd of this film so I wasn't in a hurry to buy this Blu-ray since the picture quality isn't all that great. But I bought it now for 5,99 euro and must say this is a
good improvement over the Japanese dvd. Much more detail and stronger colors.
Still this is not a brilliant image quality, it is very rough looking , but somehow I like this rough look. And in motion looks a little better then the screenshots above.
