regardless of what anyone thinks of his movies, you have to admit, they guy loves cinema. This is probably the coolest and nicest thing anyone in Hollywood has done in a long time. It's also why he's still my favorite director.

I wish he could help me out a little... I'm running a campaign to keep a classic movie theater in my county open at the moment.

We're doing ok, but could use a cash injection, or a compassionate visit from the National Trust!

Good on you QT!

As a projectionist myself i really can feel that story ... a small cinema close to ours closed down a few month ago ... we still have 35mm too so i bow down to mr. tarantino to keep the grindhouse spirit alive in this day and age.

Default Quenin Tarantino saves L.A. theater

You may or may not like his films, but I really have to hand it to him. He's staying true to what he really loves, cinema.

Here's the article that I read...

I just posted something about this. I didn't see anything by anyone else yet.

But kudos to him. He gets major respect points for this.

Pretty cool, as mentioned I love seeing celebrities (particularly those I'm fans of) reaching out and pulling off moves similar to this.

QT will probably be known as the next Scorsese sometime in the next 30 years. They both make iconic films and both love making films and the like.

Possibly, though Tarantino movies don't appeal to as wide an audience as Scorsese's do. Tarantino is easily one of my top-3 favorite directors. He puts a LOT of work into his films and isn't one of those directors who rushes his work, which is part of the reason his films are so good.

Honestly, when I first read the plot and cast for Inglourious I didn't think much of it a couple years ago. I was afraid he was getting away from his tried and true formula by casting people like Pitt in nd unknown people like Waltz. Turned out he knew exactly what he was doing and that Waltz guy turned out ok afterall.
