Question Grey blob on my lcd

I have no idea what this is, it was just there one day.. its been bothering me during the winter Olympics (what with all the white). Just wondering if this is something I can fix or just let it go. I'm thinking about getting a new tv anyway since mine is getting on in age.

thanks

p.s.: sorry about the poor quality, I just used my phone to do a quick shot

Anybody bump into it lately? Looks like something was pressed up against the screen, messing with the liquid. Just wondering.

not that I'm aware of. I thought it might have been that, but it goes the whole length of the screen

Looks like someone sprayed the screen and some liquid seeped inside. Could that be possible?

You may want to download a breakin disc to examine the LCD closer. I break-in CD or DVD will turn all the bits on and off showing you the full impact of any problems.
