Will Smith to Do 'Suspicion' Remake - Blu-ray Forum

Alfred Hitchcock's 1941 thriller Suspicion is ready to be remade. That's what Will Smith thinks, apparently.

Latino Review's regular tipster says Smith is looking to produce and star in this tale of a woman who marries a perfect gentleman she later suspects is a killer. Is she nuts or is he the real deal?

If true, Smith would be playing the part formerly filled by Cary Grant. Joan Fontaine starred opposite Grant in the original.

I think they would have to update it quite a bit. The premise actually sounds old, something that has been done to death. I'll keep an open mind; Will Smith is a good actor.

It definitely does. That's what I'm thinking right now. The story sounds just so cliche and he's probably the killer at the end and she kills him.

It's original for its time but now it would be laughed at. It would benefit from a remake.

And please to the film snobs saying "BUT THIS IS A CARY GRANT MOVIE, WILL SMITH IS RUINING IT."

Smith is a talented actor and he's not ruining it. Cary's talented but this movie would be outdated in today's society.
