Default Looking for a new set of speakers under 1k.

would like to replace my speakers maybe something smaller. And would like better quality. Any suggestions? Like smaller speakers for more spacing and less crowding.

what are you replacing? just your front 3 or do you need all 5 replaced?
if you're looking to go smaller you might want to check out orb audio or mirage.
they both make pretty small speakers that seem to get good reviews.

Look at the PSB Image sale on saturdayaudio.com you could get the following

Image T45s $479
Image B15 $249
Image C60 $259

$987 total.

That would be a much better setup then the Monitors that you have now, If your willing to spend a little more the T55 are really nice speakers and would put you just over the $1K budget you have.

I'm far from an audiophile but I recently picked up 5 Mirage OMD-5's for $1,000 from vanns. They are small, look great, and to my ears sounds really nice. I had to replace a set of Rockets that I loved but were a bit of an eye sore to my wife. There are many options but thought I would throw this out there for you.

This is a great sale....SaturdayAudio also has Monitor Audio speakers for sale too, which are excellent speakers in their own right.

Vanns is also selling the Mirage OMD-15's for $500 each....they usually retail for around $1,250 each, so that is an incredible steal!

I have a set of B&W M-1's in a bedroom, and think they work out great..... I'm not sure what the going rate is for them now, but I think they come out to about $1,000 for a set of 5

But I would certainly recommend you audition them, along with the Image's that Callas recommended, because those are great too.

Edit: Monitor Audio would certainly be another good recommendation.......

Consider Paradigm's Cinema series. There are different tiers (70, 90, 110, 330, etc.) and prices start at around $650 USD. The Cinema series is the only line of speakers that Paradigm allows to be sold over the Internet -- all of their other lines must be purchased from an authorized B&M store.

Here is a review of the 110.

Here is a review of the 330.

Paradigm's web site is here.

I just noticed you also live in NYC. If you want to check out the OMD-5s, you're welcome to come over and check them out. Just let me know.

Default SVSound

I have the SCS-01s from SVS and love them. They are very neutral. Not laid back or in your face just a really nice blend. Little details stand out like they should voices sound real. Every time I hear a door bell or phone ring in a movie it makes me think they are in my house. They play loud and clear and still sound great a low levels. Overall I am more then pleased with mine. They have a 45day warranty so if you don't like them you only have to pay the shipping cost. Their customer support is second to none. They are always very fast to reply to any questions you might have.
I don't know what you have in the way of a sub but I have their low end 12"
PB12-NSD and it's great.

Good luck with whatever you end up with. For the price I don't think you can go wrong with SVS.

Given your budget and size constraints, I would highly recommend you to audition Monitor Audio's BR2 (Bronze Reference 2) speakers. They offer fantastic full sound with great detail and bass definition. They also have great finish work for their price range. Here are some reviews and specs for it:

http://www.monitoraudiousa.com/produ...br/br2/reviews

You can find them in specialty audio shops, and also in Magnolia HiFi shops.
