Default Used CD Stores ROCK!

So I was strolling down this college street in my local town and walked by "the smoke shop" and then next door to it I found a Used CD Store. Is was astonishing for me to find such a huge BD selection as well as an HD DVD selection. And of course DVD's and xbox 360's etc. etc. . I was so happy to see BD movies (That were used of course) listed at 11 to 21 dollars. I mean the selection was about 30 films but that's still great for me, as I traded away HD DVD's and DVD's along with some cash to keep adding and building up my Blu ray selection. So you might be wondering what BD is 11 dollars, well it's the Messenger some haunted film that they had 18+ copies of. I didn't pick a copy up, if you want it let me know I suppose. I didn't know these stores exist nor that they would carry this many BD's I think I found my new video store errr Blu Ray Store.

F.Y.E, Coconuts, Suncoast, and CD World are a few stores that sell used blu-rays for the same price, ive been getting at least 2-3 every day for the past week, 50 first dates 11.99, xXx 15.99, Pirates of the Carribbean 2 18.98, Hitch 15.99, Ice Age 24.99, and i just ordered the fifth element and house of flying daggers from fye.com for 11.99 each. and also i get an extra 10% off at the stores because of the membership card, comes in handy, ive had my ps3 since the 21st of july and i have 12 blu-rays, 2 in the mail, maybe 2 more tomorrow, and the 5 free ones hopefully if the mail service stops losing things and sending different carriers

Most used CD stores are used to fence stolen goods a lot, and those people chase big ticket items

If anyone wants to dispute it, the used DVD selection at Gamestop has completely gone to crap since they stopped paying cash for movies. There used to be a Coconuts next to another location, and people would shoplift from there and trade it in next door

I think you bring a very strong point or argument and I'll consider that because it did not cross my mind until you brought it up. However I was thinking on the other side of things and how it was a college town that maybe the college kids in the area all have PS3's and are trading in films and picking up new films this way. (yes I know, I'm very Naive) But I mean it's not like the average college student is entirely that rich, but it wouldn't surprise me if every college guy either owned a PS3 or a 360, lol.

But yes you bring up a good point and I'll consider this, Thank You for bringing it to my attention.

One time I traded in games I had to fill out this card with all my information on it, including my SSN, and they freakin' fingerprinted me. I expressed my displeasure with this policy, but apparently the sheriff's office in the area was making them do it due to an increase in stolen video game stuff. Friggin' ridiculous. I'm sure it really helped

I was wrong completely, as I went back to the store this morning, it was in fact CD Warehouse, the other store was next door and I suppose I just got confused. So it is CD Warehouse, no surprise there I suppose.

Default Buying used Blu-rays

Hey, I never knew...Gamestop has a chance at having some damn good Blu Ray movies that people have traded in, and they are not that expensive at all and have probably been watched only once. All the discs are completely scratch/smudge free.

I picked up 11 movies I LOVE...Superman, Superman 2, Superman Returns, Hoosiers, The Prestige, Pirates 1, Pirates 2, Flightplan, Behind Enemy Lines, and Lethal Weapon 1 and 2. for a total of 148 dollars at two different Gamestops total. I usually only buy DVDs new, but I wanted to get a quick buildup on my BD collection

plus I am a poor college student
so not a bad option

yeah ive heard they have a good selection, unfortunately i have none of those in my area...but i have five gamestops within 10 min drives, and the two i go two are actually very well run, though i can understand why some are not a fan of the company overall

i mean, an avg of 13 dollars per blu ray before taxes on good titles? ill take that even if the gamestop was a dump
