Default Pioneer Receiver LX models

Hi Folks,
I'm new in this forum, sorry for my english. I'll do my best (I'm learning).

See the link with the Pioneer LX models. http://www.pioneer.eu/eur/products/4.../overview.html I think that those receivers are the same as Elite Models
My model LX50 (predecessor of LX52) don't accept connect my speakers to the receiver using Banana Plug. Someone have the same experience with some Elite models?

Maybe my solution should be a EMO AMP

Welcome to the site.

Is your model a VSX-LX50 like pictured here?

If so then it should accept banana plugs. You just plug them straight into the hole in the center of the binding post. There will be some tension.

That's a little different than the one I posted above, but the binding posts are the same so it should take banana plugs. I guess it's possible that yours may be a little too big for it, because as Fors pointed out they do come in a couple of different sizes. Also keep in mind that they may not plug in quite all the way.

OP or Steve, I can't remember, but does the receiver come with the little plastic piece to cover the speaker inputs on the back of the receiver (like they do with speakers?) If so, you may just need to completely unscrew the "cap" and take this piece out and then screw it back on......

Hi Steve and Fors,
The Banana plug work fine with my speakers, I'll remove the cap completely to see if I can remove this piece of plastic. I hope that the problem be the plastic on the speaker input. I let you know.

Hi Fors, Steve,
I tried unscrew the caps completely but they have a stopped at the end, so I can't pull it out.
In your Elite you can unscrew completely the caps?

IIRC they don't come off of mine all the way. When you look through the hole can you see anything in there that would block a banana plug from sliding in?

Like Steve said, they don't come off completly, but I was wondering if their might be some kind of small plastic "cap" that protects the speaker inputs until they are ready for us.......did you notice anything blocking the terminals?

No small cap, looks like the picture that you posted yesterday. The hole is too small.

I don't know what to say. That's just weird that they'll work with your speakers, but not your receiver. I've never seen a binding post where you couldn't just shove a banana plug in it.

Steve, Guess what! I remove my receiver from the TV Cabinet and check the binding post in effect have a cap. If you see the picture on the binding post the hole is in black this is the cap to protect the input as Fors Mentioned.

I'm sorry to spend yours time for this issue created by myself
